Sunreaze is an iPhone alarm that wakes you gently. Before your alarm time, the screen brightens like a sunrise while sound, vibration and the flashlight build slowly.

Why does the app need to stay open?

iPhone apps can't turn the screen on by themselves when they are closed. For the sunrise to run, leave Sunreaze open and plug in your phone. As a safety net, a regular backup alarm rings 10 minutes after your wake-up time, even if the app is closed or your phone is locked or on silent.

How do I stop the alarm?

Tap "I'm up." On a locked phone, tap "I'm up" on the alarm itself and unlock your phone.

The screen is dark.

The screen stays dark while you sleep and brightens as the sunrise builds. Tap the screen at any time to see the time and the "I'm up" button.

Does it change my phone's volume?

It starts the wake-up quietly and raises the volume gradually, up to the level you choose (Gentle, Medium or Strong). Your phone's volume is put back when you're done. If you press the volume buttons, Sunreaze stops adjusting it.
